The Hong Kong Microelectronics Research and Development Institute (MRDI) is established by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in 2024.  MRDI focuses on the research and development of microelectronics, promotes cooperation between academia, industry and research institutions in many aspects, promotes technology transfer and industrial upgrading, and jointly promotes the development of innovative science and technology.
